Taylor Benoit is a graduate of St. John the Evangelist Catholic School and St. Viator High School and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from North Central College in Theater and Theatrical Design and Technology. She is a director and producer specializing in youth theater education and locally based theater productions with Schaumburg On Stage. She has co-directed
Les Misérables School Edition, as well as full-length productions of
Footloose,Grease and
Newsies at the Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts in Schaumburg. Taylor is a program director for the Schaumburg On Stage Youth Summer Theater Camp where she co-directed
Disney’s The Little Mermaid and James and the Giant Peach. She is a founding member of the St. John’s Players and has participated in every parish musical since their first production nearly 15 years ago. As a member of point2productions, a theater company committed to bringing quality theater productions to the Northwest suburbs, Taylor directed
Little Shop of Horrors and
Urinetown at the Elgin Art Showcase and co-produced
Sister Act at The Hemmens Cultural Center in Elgin. Taylor is excited to bring her passion for music, theater, and dance to the students of St. John the Evangelist Catholic School.

Arts Education at St. John the Evangelist Catholic School encompasses the study of dance, music and theater with a concentration on developing a working knowledge and appreciation for the performing arts at all age levels.
