On Sunday, January 28th at the 11:00 am Mass, we will begin the celebration of 2024 National Catholic Schools Week. Since 1974, NCSW is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. It starts on the last Sunday in January and runs all week. Schools typically observe the celebration with Masses, open houses and other activities for students, families, parishioners, and community members. Through these events, schools focus on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to our church, our communities, and our nation.
We all know that Catholic school is not free, but there are many parents who understand that a child's education is worth paying for, especially when you consider what parents and children receive in return. To help and support our parish school financially, we will take a special second collection at all the masses on the weekend of January 27/28. Thank you for your generosity.
I invite you to join us in celebrating the Eucharist together and if you are looking for a new school for your child, please plan to visit our school and begin your journey with us.
