This Sunday we begin the celebration of 2024 National Catholic Schools Week. Catholic Schools, like ours here at St. John’s, typically observe the celebration with Masses, open houses and other activities for students, families, parishioners, and community members. Through these events, schools focus on the value that Catholic education provides to our children and its contributions to our Church, our communities, and our nation.
St. John’s Catholic School offers a wide variety of opportunities for our children to be active in their faith life as well as in the community through participation in activities such as our music programs, athletics, service projects, and student leadership. We nurture each student’s growth academically, spiritually, mentally, and physically. Our students are given not just the knowledge and skills they will need to achieve the future, but also the faith and virtues that can make them women and men of outstanding character.
As Pastor of Saint John the Evangelist parish and school family, I have the great privilege of partnering with our Principal Mrs. Beth Wennerstrom, Operations Director Dcn. Tim Davidson, our wonderful School Board members, faculty, and staff in overseeing the operation of our School. We seek to set up our students for success by
providing the personalized attention they need to develop their God-given talents and skills for their good and the good of others.
We all know that Catholic school is not free, but there are many parents who understand that a child’s education is worth paying for, especially when you consider what parents and children receive in return.
I personally invite you to contact our school and begin your journey with us. Come and experience true Christian principles that you are seeking right here at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic School.
