As Thanksgiving approaches, it is fitting to look back at the year through different lenses. These include looking at the year as families, individuals, Knights of Columbus and Ladies Auxiliary members, and St. John’s parish family members. The last 18 months or so have been very challenging due to the pandemic, but with God’s help we are gathered around the table here together, to give thanks to Him for all he has given us. We encourage you to take the time this Thanksgiving to really give thanks.
Whatsoever you do to the least of your brothers, that you do unto Me!
We are thankful for what all the members have done to help so many in our community with prayers, service hours, and gifts. There are many individuals that contribute to the success of the Knights of Columbus and Ladies Auxiliary. We recognized several of those individuals at our Past Grand Knights dinner last month.
We all have much to be thankful for this year. St. John’s is a warm and giving parish community. This month we are supporting Hanover Township Food Pantry, Homeless Veterans, a seminarian (from Vocation Raffle ticket sales), St. John’s (Gala), and St. John’s Religious Education program. Several organizations will receive funds from our Intellectual Disabilities Drive (Tootsie Roll).
