The 4th degree of the Knights of Columbus is based on the principle of Patriotism. Later this month we celebrate Memorial Day. As the famous song by Billy Ray Cyrus says, “All gave some … some gave all”. In honor of those that gave all, and to those that gave some and are struggling, Mary’s Millennium Council once again appeals to the parish to assist us in helping our homeless veterans.
We have contacted the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans for their current needs to keep their shelves stocked. Items most in need include new Men’s Underwear: L, XL, 2X, 3X (Boxer Briefs) & Men’s white t-shirts: XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL & Women's Underwear: All sizes and Bedding. Paper Towels, Toilet Paper, Garbage Cans (Kitchen and Bathroom), All Purpose Cleaner, (Mr. Clean, Fabuloso - Standard Size Please), Glass Cleaner, Disinfectant Spray (Lysol), Dish Soap, Toilet Bowl Cleaner, Laundry Pods and Liquid & Dryer Sheets, Swiffer Mops, Mouthwash Medium Size and Razors.
We will be collecting your donations after all the masses on May 18-19.
