I am very honored to be the new principal here at St. John the Evangelist School. Prior to working in administration, I have many years of teaching experience ranging in ages from preschool through 8th grade. I grew up in Schaumburg where I attended St. Hubert’s School so I know the importance and pride of a Catholic School education. I will work tirelessly to help every kid recognize their God-given gifts.
In addition to being a teacher, I am a continuous learner. I have received three college degrees. I recently graduated from The University of St. Francis with a Master’s Degree in Principal Leadership. I graduated from Northeastern Illinois University in 2007 with a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Special Education. I also attended Valparaiso University where I graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education while also playing Division 1 soccer.
I live in Bartlett with my husband, Rob, and 3 beautiful daughters, Abigail , Caitlin, and Libby. We are very proud that our daughters also attend St. John School. In addition, we are St. John’s parishioners, so you will probably see us here on Sunday morning!
When I’m not doing my favorite things with my family, which includes vacationing, taking family trips to fun places like the zoo, or cheering on our little athletes on the soccer field, gymnastics arena, or Irish dancing stage, you might find me on the running path. I love running and have run 8 marathons including the Boston Marathon twice. The best part is my running partner is my dad!
I am excited to continue my journey at St. John’s in this new role. St. John the Evangelist is more than just a school to me; it’s a community of families who support each other. I recognize the sacrifice the families of SJE make to send their students’ to our school and I am committed to giving every student a safe place to grow and learn.
